The novella is short, so I needed to change and expand the original story. But (for the show) we corresponded and I sent suggested changes. It was such a relentless force of nature. It is a beautiful coming-of-age story, and Cujo terrified me. What was your relationship with Stephen King like through all this? Were you a fan of his work before signing on to the show?
